went to sears today...will prolly buy one, just need a 400 deg oven to bake the parts, but it cannot be in your stove cuz of the toxins..we are going to try and find a commercial place to do it...will keep you informed

I'll check out the local second hand stores on Thursday (goodwill, etc.) to see if they've got anything.

You buy the powdercoater, I'll provide the oven! :w00t:

wow...that caswellplating site is pretty cool.....

i do that kind of stuff at work...on plastic parts...hehehe

and before you ask...NO i can't plate plastic parts for friends or myself....yet :) I need to get back on 3rd shift where my old suprvisor doesn't give two shits if i plate stuff.

well...i'm sure if i did go in a few hours early i would be able to get away with it. we run plastic parts but i'm sure i could skip the plastic prep and go straight to the copper/nickel/chrome tanks....i can even strip chrome....hehe

nice. you should do a test piece some time and show us how it turned out. i don't think i have anything big that needs done, just my heat shield. i want to get my valve cover powdercoated but that would be a big chore.

Yeah I may have some rims shortly that need a gloss black finish....
