Ok here is the low down now. We have Norwalk Raceway Park (http://norwalkracewaypark.com/master_content.html) rented out for Friday may 19th. We can only have 90 cars though so you will wanna sign up before it gets full. We had about 50 cars on a monday in the rain last year. Felix, me, and Dj will be running this event this year with help from the Glass City SRT'S. just like last year will will have alot of door prizes and what not for people who pay to run.

Gates will open at 7:00A.M. and running will start at 8:00P.M. We will have a the track for 8hrs! So getting in enough runs will not be a problem at all. The track will be sprayed with VHT (http://www.bazellracefuels.com/VHT.htm) to the 330 ft mark. The tree will be set up as a Sportsman Tree (http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/nhraxtreesp.html), but could be changed over to a Pro Tree (http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/nhraxtreepro.html) should anyone wanna try a money heads up race. So just to make sure we are clear we have the track from 8:00A.M. to 4:00P.M. with Norwalks normal test n tune to follow at 5:00P.M. which we can stay for but will have to pay the entry fee. (Last year it was 12 dollars)

Classes for SRT-4's only
Stock turbo on a D.O.T. tire.

Department of Transportation (DOT) Certification

"DOT" is branded on the tire's sidewall indicating the tire is certified to meet or exceed the standards of the Department of Transportation. Following the DOT branding is a serial number designating the tire manufacturer, manufacturing plant, tire size, and date of manufacture.

Stock turbo Slicks

OPEN!!! Anything goes here but it has to be a SRT-4 and have a SRT-4 motor in it while being FWD. Stage3, Big turbo's, N20, slicks, DOT tires whatever bring it.

There will be trophies for 1st and 2nd place in all the classes.

We will also have a best SRT-4 trophy. This could be a show car, a street car, or a really nice race car. This will be judged by me and a few other people.
The best award of them all though is the Jack Ass award that goes to who ever does something really stupid. Last years winner got it for running over someone else's spare tire in the pits and getting his car stuck on the spare wheel. It's going to be tough to beat that one though.

If you pay for the track event before April 1st it will cost you $40.00 and after April 1st you will have to pay $50.00 . Spectators are free! Aslong as we get enough cars pre. Registered we will have someone bring in food in the form of PIZZA (http://aaronneon.com/a-n/) or something else. We'll just have to play this by ear for now.

Now for the work part of the event. we are going to need some help running the Tree. the water box, and people to help keep the time slips straight. G/C SRT'S will be taking a chunck of the work load but we can use all the help we can get for this. If a handfull of people step up and work a hour or so it goes really smoothly. I will make a worker list and post a link to it soon. New for this year we will have CASH PRIZES FOR WORKERS ONLY this year. If you work for 2 time slots your name will go in the drwaing 2 times and so on.

If you have any questions please post them here or PM me.

Thanks

Lon

P.S.

I'm sure Aaronneon is going to put on a dyno day on the following sat.

I concur. Here:

We can only have 90 cars, so you will want to sign up before it gets full. Last year, we had a turnout of about 50 cars (on a rainy Monday, no less). Felix, myself, and Dj will be running the event this year with help from the Glass City SRT'S crew (and a few Michigan people). Just like last year will have alot of door prizes and what-not for participants.

Gates will open at 7:00A.M., and running will start at 8:00A.M. We will have the track for 8hrs! So getting in enough runs will not be a problem. The track will be sprayed with VHT to the 330 ft mark. The tree will be set up as a Sportsman Tree, but could be changed over to a Pro Tree should anyone want to try a heads up race. So, just to make sure we are clear, we have the track from 8:00A.M. to 4:00P.M., with Norwalks normal test-n-tune to follow at 5:00P.M. We can stay for the the test-n-tune, but will have to pay the entry fee (last year it was 12 dollars).

Gates will open at 7:00A.M. and running will start at 8:00A.M.

If you pay for the track event before Jan. 1st it will cost you $40.00 and after Jan. 1st you will have to pay $50.00 .

Edit: Here is the web site for the event.http://www.dasmotorsports.com/midwest/index.asp

Jared

tom6433

first rule of stock turbo class:

Stock Turbo is a turbo that is in its original condition from the factory. If it is ported or modified in any way it is not considered a stock turbo, you do not belong in this class.

I think we just assume that people will be truthfull, I mean if it is that important that you need to cheat go ahead and do it. That and I am doing tech, I will bring my tools if needed, and I can guarantee that I can get a turbo off just as fast as anyone there.

well for one there was no place to sit and you really could not get out of the hot ass sun. you could go into the shop, but it got crowded real quick. i will be bringing a chair, hat, umbrella (got soaked last year), and a radio, so that should cover all of that.

food was great, the place was awesome (but closed now of course), but some ppl got a better deal than others. what i mean by that is, i paid $50 for 2 pulls and others were paying $40 for 3. hell one kid was allowed to swap out a TB between pulls and there were at least 2-3 cars that got 4 pulls. i guess im just looking for a more organized day.

Thats better. AS for the seating and shade that is pretty much on you. I doubt Aaron can bring in 75 chairs for the dyno day so everyone has a place to sit, and he prolly is not going to plant shade trees just for the dyno day.
As for who got more pulls and that, thats on him.

Wait....who paid less?

All the dyno days that I have done, I have done pretty much for free.[as in not making money] So I treat it as a fun day for everyone and I dont want to be a ''policeman''. Hell I didnt even pay attention one bit to who was doing what. I was there to greet and hang out. If you want some set in stone things, we can asign people things to do like at the track meets. I have no problems with that.

As for the seating...Bring your own seat. Either that or let me know and I can rent enough chairs for people. They will not be that comfy though. There is alot more room in my place to move around. Its one building with one big room as opposed to their 2 smaller rooms. Hopefully we dont break down and put our lifts in [I am wanting to wait for the new building], so there would be plenty of room. Also I do not have black top. I have a cement pad with a big gravel driveway. The dyno will be outside on the pad if its nice. Or it will be inside if there is a chance of rain

I will schedule time slots this time. If your late, your at the end of the list.

I would really like more suggestions on how to make it better. There will be a few prizes there as usuall. :headbang:

i think just making it known that ppl should bring their own chair would be good. i had never been to a dyno day before, so i just brought me and my car.

as for people paying more or less and everyone else, maybe it was just me. all i know is that i paid $50 and got 2 pulls. im not bitter, i would just like to make sure this year everyone gets the same opportunities.

so we are having it at your place? sorry if you have made a thread about it, this is the first thread ive read today.

Nope I havent made a post yet.

As for the same opportunities, I guess I need to watch everyone. I think someone even dyno`d for free somehow.

The target rate is 40 this year for the dyno. I will schedule people and also ask them to sign in and how many pulls they want- up to 3. Some people only wanted 1 run.

More info?

Dyno day info posted by Aaron@realtune himself.

Ok fockers. I have the info on the dyno day that you all asked for.

When: Saterday May 20th 9am-9pm

Where: RealTune Performance

34303 Mills Rd. North Ridgeville, Ohio 44039

Cost: $40 aslong as we get the needed 30

I am allowing 30 spots, but we may do 35 if need be. BRING YOUR OWN CHAIR!

We are located about the same distance to Norwalk as last years event. So we are fairly close. We will have a few prizes just like everyother dyno day.

Food and drink will be there. It would be awsome if you could bring some food to donate or maybe a few bucks to help us out though.

There will be asigned spots for the dyno.We will figure out the spots later on. If you are late for your spot, you are last. You will be allowed up to 3 runs. If you want less, please let us know! It would be great to get a few stocker guys pass on the last run to help out the timeline.

Things will be more policed this year. I dont want anyone to feel they were jipped, and besides this is my building this time. There is a nice bathroom so I ask that you dont crap on the floor [DAS}.

The dyno will be outside on our cement pad if its nice, and inside if its not. There is alot more room to move around then last year [aslong as we dont break down and put the lifts in before our new building]

We have race gas located about a mile down the road. We have plenty of hotels if you guys want to relocate by us.

Any questions please feel free to ask. If I should post this somewhere else Das/Tat ...shoot me a PM and let me know.

My paypal is Aaronneon@aol.com. Not to be a schrew, but please include the 3% fee if your using the highway robber system. $41.20 would be the total.

Ill toss 5 spots up now and when the ball gets rolling Ill add the rest

I am still waiting on a few hotels to call me back, but for the most part i believe these are the best choices.
all prices are per night before tax
1.) Econo Lodge Norwalk 39.59 a night(42.36 w/tax) 4 miles from the track
-Continental brk. in morning
2.)Red Roof Inn 49.99 7 miles from the track
-Continental brk.
3.)Motel 6 49.99 7 miles from the track
4.)Super 8 Motel 49/59.00 7 miles from the track (sill waiting on manager to call back. I was old he will probably want to give us a better rate because of the # of rooms)

If you want more, i can post them, but these seemed like the best choices for distance and price. everything else tends to get either much more expensive, or a lot farther away. and at 5:30-6ish in the morning, the less we have to drive the better
