yes you will need a router, but if you think dial-up is slow, just wait until you split it in half. hell, i don't even know if its possible to share a dial-up connection. if you can, look into getting sbc dsl. its like $15 a month now and its all the connection you will ever need.

it is possible to split up a dial-up connection....you have to do it with a software gateway...blah blah blah....router and highspeed is easier and the way to go if it is available.

i agree. i thought it was possible but i don't think its worth it. but then again i don't know what high speed service providers are in their area. its worth checking into imo.
