Midwest SRT-4 nat's

Again this year we are putting on a midwest nats. We will be renting out Norwalk raceway park for a Friday AM to afternoon rental with door prizes and a few classes. Then on sat we will be holding a dyno day again with prizes, and food. Last year was a good time for all. we had about 50 cars show up and would like to see 100 this year. I will be handling the track day this year and Aaronneon will be on taking care of the dyno day. As you can see both places are very nice. Norwalk is prolly the nicest track this side of the country.

Well lest years went really well. No fist fights that i saw. I'm not sure how to get alot of people there without just getting alittle bigger every year. We are always looking for door prizes donated by dealers and what not. We have got alot of stuff from the vendors on the srtforums in the past. Charlies Dodge hooked us up with a few shirts and things. Aaron and I paid for the trophies.

We are trying to get Norwalk to let us have a weekend track rental but they don't wanna do it. If you have any strings in that dept. that would be great.

Next year I want a tech station before the staging lanes, with cards for people to fill out, and numbers that are assigned before ever going into the staging lanes. Last year I ran around like crazy for over a hour making sure people had numbers, messing up numbers, and everything else. I will man the station, and take care of making up cards. I would like to see a time slot that you have to be there within, like say 9-10:30 or so that you have to be there and checked in, or else you wait untill say noon to get checked in.
I also think that we should have a shootout type setup, with say 2 hours of test and tune followed by a shootout for each class, then more test and tune.

Very good points. We got screwed up alittle last year because someone who had the list was really late. We iwll do it better this year forsure.

it will be hard. the event is sponored by dcx i think. dcx wants that meet to happen. i don't think they care about ours. but its worth a shot.

That will work, but we must have copys of everything on site with us, people are bound to forget printing something out. But having a check in station with limited times will make everyone get there in time to have some sort of actual race, a shootout or otherwise. To many people wandering in whenever they feel like it gets to be a clusterfuck. I know that first hand.

Ok I talked to Norwalk today. We are on the call list for 2006. They have no real work on the list so they may start track rentals early this year. I'm shooting for late April, early May. It's going to be a fri AM to 4PM so we can either leave the track, or stay for the test N tune that night.
