I got a free ride in a Grand cherokee SRT-8 last week. It looks pretty sweet and based on my butt dyno it should be a low low 13 sec. ride. The best part is the looks of it though. nice 20" wheels on both ends. Wider in the rear though. Dual exhaust coming out the back in the center like the older Viper GTS. Very nice looking ride. Oh it had big ass brembo brakes all the way around too.
If I had the 40k to spend I would have to look at this one really hard.

how did the exhaust sound? I've only seen pics and yes they look Good!!!!

it sounded like a good running V8 but in a low tone. not pop can sounding at all like a cherry bomb or something.
You did remind me of one thing I didn't care for. While trying to hear what it sounds like outside of it my buddy floored it but while in park it has a built in rev limiter. It would only rev to like 2K and just kinda hold there. Kinda gay when you wanna bark it off for your buddies.

hmm wonder if it has electronically controlled throttle by wire like alot of these new cars are coming out with. Sounds like the case... people bitch about the new mustangs having them too but the aftermarket already has a way around them for mustangs... I'd imagine there is a way around it for any vehicle. Manufacturers are doing that for less abuse to the engine.

Well no doubt. i know my buddy with a Z06 had fits putting the bottle on it because the drive by wire. I have seen alot of people ( normaly rich people who are clueless) fire up their new ride and nail the throttle to show it off. Nothing better than a cold start up and then blast it off the rev limiter. Next stop the dealer for warrenty work.
its easy to get around the drive by wire in GM's, now only if someone would buy be EFILive for xmas I could do it to my truck

does anybody know when the release date is? i at least want to lok at one.
There was a srt-8 charger at milan sat. I didnt see what he was running cuz he was always like 2 cars in front of me, he had the squirt bottle, ice, and mini fan on the engine in between every run, but his trunk was loaded with stuff... why do all the work on cool down with all the extra weight?
